With Covid vaccinations for children ages 12-15 now approved – Our local County Health office have offered to set up a Covid vaccination site in Long Lake Camp this summer.  We would welcome your feedback regarding this idea.

  • The tremendous news that children ages 12 and up have been approved for the Covid vaccination, is an amazing and welcome development for all summer camps. In order to operate the safest and most magical camp experience, we strongly recommend all campers ages 12 and up get the Covid vaccination as soon as it becomes available. If camps have all staff and most campers vaccinated, it means we can offer your children the best and most fun return to normal life imaginable. All our staff will be vaccinated and we will be asking all staff and campers to take a PCR Covid test 3 days prior to camp and bring a negative test with you. We will also perform rapid Covid tests at camp on arrival day for staff and campers.
  • Long Lake Campus will be closed to all incoming and outgoing visits and deliveries to main campuses.
  • Long Lake has increased Dining capacity with NEW Outdoor banquet tents for added safety and to meet ANY requirements needed for added safety.
  • New York State has required 6 foot distance head to toe for sleeping for over 30 years now. Our bunks are already safe and open and we have added extra intake-extraction ventilation IN EACH ROOM for this season.
  • Most or all activities will take place in our beautiful open-air buildings with floor to ceiling glass doors, open air pavilions, and under shade in modified outdoor environments.
  • We anticipate a return to a more normal experience after the first few days of each session upon confirmation that we are Covid free up to that point. 
  • During their session, If a camper tests positive for Covid we will immediately perform a subsequent PCR test. While waiting for the results we will quarantine them for 3 days, (safely keeping them engaged).  Following the 2nd result we will discuss the options with their parents.

RETURN TO NORMALCY in time each session.

We anticipate successfully sealing off our camp population and if testing Covid free as a CAMP, we will be able to enjoy more of a normal life after a few days of security and care.

If for any reason your camper has to leave due to Covid,  we will offer you a credit of the unused tuition towards 2022 (at the then returners rate).  Or you may receive a refund of the unused portion of tuition.
