Our Summer Camp Staff

The Best Camp Staff in the World

With 140 staff for only 200 campers Long Lake has one of the best campers to staff ratios of any summer camp. In addition the age, quality, caring and knowledge of our staff make them exceptional leaders, educators and role models for our campers. Unlike many camp we will not hire 17 and 18 year olds to care for your children. We require our staff to either already have passed a degree or masters and already have teaching experience or be well on their way. Our theater directors, music directors and choreographers are 30 years and older with many professional production and teaching credits already before joining Long Lake.

Every staff member new or returning goes through a very in depth back ground checks to ensure they are the safest staff we could hire. Every staff member is personally interviewed by the camps directors and because we have so many returning staff each summer there are few jobs to apply for thus we can be very picky. We hire staff as if they would be caring for our own children (who are at camp) so we only accept the most trustworthy and dedicated staff on earth. Our staff come from America, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Poland, Hungary, Israel and Italy. The international flavor of the staff compliments the many nationalities of our campers.

All staff go through a rigorous training before the campers arrive, we teach them our proven way of making the campers feel welcomed and cared for. It is not an accident that every summer we maintain such a high level of professionalism and commitment to our campers.
