Our Recreational Sports Program makes a wonderful compliment to your creative activities. Or you can join our sister camp called Long Lake Camp Adventures, click here to learn more. Take a horse ride to relax after morning rehearsals or climb up the new custom made wall and challenge the fastest times. We are proud to announce that we are the only camp who offers the traditional Swedish game called "Kubb", as well as a large selection of more traditional choices. Our sports counselors are chosen for their fun energetic ability to motivate young people to play healthy and exciting games. We ask our head of sports to come to camp with 50 new ideas each year. A new sports activity invented last year (2002) was the "Waterfun Day". We had a very warm Monday and decided to cool everyone off by hooking up seven hoses, one monster Twister game ( made by the art department) and made a water slide down the south Lawn hill. The campers and staff had a wonderful time and we are making this a permanent event at camp for you.
Whether riding, individual or team sports, they all take place in a manner that emphasizes physical fitness and fun. Coaches focus on how to play, not just how to win. For those who would like competition, we schedule various inter-camp matches and meets. We have well groomed playing fields for soccer, baseball, and other field sports, as well as four all-weather tennis courts, full court basketball and more. Coaching in all sports is offered on a daily basis.
At Long Lake Camp, there are back country roads and trails that begin at our doorstep. We have our very own stables and riding ring on camp, and our own horses that are "user friendly". You could become a Stable Hand and learn how a stable is run and get to look after our friendly horses.
We are surrounded by nature and adventure. A canoe paddle across the lakes takes us to a protected wilderness preserve. Trips to the fabled High Peaks and other hikes take place often throughout the summer and usually involve our "environmentalists" as well as artists seeking new ground and inspiration.

Theater Camp and Film Camp at Long Lake
We are very excited to let you know that two of our ex-campers, academy award winning actor Adrien Brody and Corey Stoll (recently co-starred in the movie Salt) will star in Woody Allen's upcoming romantic comedy Midnight in Paris.

Our Rock Camp is unlike any where else as we can offer you all the private and band lessons plus a spectacular performing arts and fine arts camp.
