There's every chance to unleash your imagination in our 20 art studios inspired by our 22 artists in residence. Campers learn to work with their hands and minds gaining appreciation of form and the value of artistic creation. You can create in new art forms like digital film and multimedia design or explore more traditional forms like painting and sculpture. Our unique scheduling means you can stay as long as you wish pursuing your arts ideas. We even have special evening classes for those who want to further study and develop ideas. At the end of every session we have a full scale FIne Art gallery showcasing all your wonderful works of art. We also encourage large scale outdoor installations, sculptures, kinetic pieces, murals and performance time base pieces.
Long Lake Arts Camp offer exciting and rewarding arts to both beginners and experienced artists and our studio arts teachers are the most passionate and dedicated artists, there to help you unleash your creative spirit. Our arts camp instructors are all practicing artists already with a degree, masters level degree, teaching degree and practical knowledge and experience. You can choose to follow your own artistic path with our help our take classes in each studio to help progress your vision. We go on art field trips into the glorious Adirondack park that surround us with mountains, waterfalls, lake and deep forest.
Our Fine Arts Camp program is housed in 3 buildings. The F.A.B (Fine Arts Building) is a two story custom built arts center with many windows for natural light, well equipped large studio areas and outdoor work spaces. Our ceramics building has everything you need to let your imagination run wild and create with 2 kilns, 3 wheels, and extruder, roller, forms, slip, glazes and as much clay as you need. Our photography studio offers both traditional black and white wet process and all digital. We like to explore both fine art and reportage photography and we love our campers to document camp for themselves and our 200 page year book. We create our yearbook in house with our campers involved with producing a wonderful book, highlighting all the amazing memories from your summer.
